Book Meme





1) What author do you own the most books by? Not sure, but most likely Isaac Asimov. At least 30 books of his.
2) What book do you own the most copies of? White Fang, I have at least seven copies of it.
3) Did it bother you that both those questions ended with prepositions? No
4) What fictional character are you secretly in love with? None, but I did have a bit of a crush on F'nor of the Pern series when I was younger.
5) What book have you read the most times in your life?  Probably the Little House series
6) What was your favorite book when you were ten years old? White Fang or Robinson Crusoe
7) What is the worst book you’ve read in the past year? That book about god answering questions about evolution and stuff. Terribly written.
8) What is the best book you’ve read in the past year? The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler. I don't usually do mysteries, but I liked it so much I ended up buying all his other Philip Marlowe books.
9) If you could force everyone you know to read one book, what would it be? The Last Unicorn, of course. Though the movie works just as well.
10) Who deserves to win the next Nobel Prize for Literature? Ray Bradbury, for damn near anything he's ever written.
11) What book would you most like to see made into a movie? The Dandelion Wine, but only if they did it justice.  That book made me long for my non-existant childhood in the 1920s.
12) What book would you least like to see made into a movie? PERN
13) Describe your weirdest dream involving a writer, book, or literary character. There was that weird crossover between Homecoming and The Shining.... Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.
14) What is the most lowbrow book you’ve read as an adult? The Twilight series. Didn't like em either.
15) What is the most difficult book you’ve ever read? The Complete works of HP Lovecraft. I'm still working my way through it, 2 years later. I love it, but it gives me such nightmares.
16) What is the most obscure Shakespeare play you’ve seen? Don't really see too many plays.
17) Do you prefer the French or the Russians? Neither
18) Roth or Updike? Updike! Especially his short stories
19) David Sedaris or Dave Eggers? Dunno either of them.
20) Shakespeare, Milton, or Chaucer? Shakesphere.
21) Austen or Eliot? Anybody but Austen
22) What is the biggest or most embarrassing gap in your reading? Alice in Wonderland and Sherlock Holmes
23) What is your favorite novel? Thats like asking to pick a favorite kid.
24) Play? The Wondeful Ice Cream Suit by Ray Bradbury count?
25) Poem? Tiger, tiger burning bright, in the forests of the night...
27) Short story? Dog of Flanders?
28) Who is your favorite writer? I have too many...
29) Who is the most overrated writer alive today? Twilight lady.
30) What is your desert island book? The Summer Book, of course
31) And… what are you reading right now? Savage Girls and Wild Boys: A History of Feral Children and Aliens ate my Homework. What a mix, lol.
